As 2010 draws to a close, I’ll let two images sum up the year:
The first: My favorite Christmas present (from my fantastic and ever supportive husband). Starting Spoonfed has enriched my life in so many ways. Thanks, all of you, for spending time here and letting me know that Spoonfed is making a difference in your lives, too.
The second: Tess, my inspiration for Spoonfed and our winter solstice baby, who turned 7 on Dec. 22. Happy Birthday and thanks for lighting our days, sweet girl.
Happy New Year, everyone. Can’t wait to see what 2011 brings.

Hi Christina!
That’s a christmas tree decoration right? Very cool! I love your blog!
Happy holidays to you and your family!
Michelle.
Thanks, Michelle, and yes, it’s an ornament!
What a great idea for an ornament. That was a very thoughtful gift – great way to commemorate a great year! 🙂
Thanks, Melodie. I thought so, too. We always collect ornaments when we travel and to mark special things in our lives, so decorating the tree each year is like opening a giant scrapbook. But this was a total surprise. Hard to believe, though, that I started this blogging thing less than a year ago!
Christina, I too love the ornament. Our tree is the same, though, in recent years, the number of ornaments have gotten out of hand. It was a bit sad this year to not put up our tree (we traveled over the holidays). I missed all of the memories it brings for me.
Melissa, after decorating the tree this year, I told my husband that we need to start getting bigger trees. Between our ornaments and the ones our daughter has been amassing, we’re definitely running out of room. And I don’t like to rotate them, since we see them only once a year anyway!
